1. Publicize your page(s)
Now that you’ve gone through the trouble of making a social media presence for your restaurant (Facebook,Twitter, Google +, Instagram, etc.) you need to get the word out. Your pages do you no good if nobody knows about them. Start with a simple print on your menu or a sign in the window, you can even have servers or bartenders ask(professionally of course) for a review on social media!
2. Encourage photography
Humans have great eyesight for a reason! If your food presentations are impeccable then show them off! If a dish or a drink look good on social media, it stimulates the “We gotta try that place” response!
3. Offer an incentive
Directly engaging your customers can sometimes be the best approach! Try offering a giveaway on Facebook, publicizing it in your restaurant, and using that to get guests to your social media, leaving reviews, and checking in.
